Eva King throws in the towel and moves to Brussels

After eight years at the Vorarlberg Chamber of Labor, the current director Eva King (47) is moving to the EU level to represent the interests of employees.

The news of the AK power woman's move came as a surprise. After all, Eva King only took over from long-standing AK Director Rainer Keckeis in July 2023.

There are no official reasons for the change. Rumor has it that the bureaucracy was too much for the creative 47-year-old. In addition, her husband is already working in Brussels.

King's position will be taken over by Andreas Lampert, one of the previous deputies. The 61-year-old has been with the Vorarlberg Chamber of Labor since June 1, 1982. "The new task is a great honor and I will continue the course we have set with full force," commented the new director on his appointment.
