The Viennese doctor and project developer Faraz Nourani and his wife Helga Hollensteiner bought the Waldviertler Brauhotel Weitra and refurbished it. The doctor will manage the 33-room hotel. The hotel will even offer wine and olive oil from the family's own estates.

Helga Hollensteiner will manage the Brauhotel Weitra, which will reopen on April 12 following a 700,000 euro renovation. The doctor with distant roots in Echsenbach in the Zwettl district bought the hotel with her husband, the Viennese doctor and project developer Faraz Nourani.

Tradition to be continued
As the couple enjoy spending their free time in Weitra, they quickly decided to buy the hotel after the closure announcements and continue the tradition, according to the doctors. Michael Böhme, who according to the hotel has decades of experience in the restaurant and hotel industry, will take over the operational management. Stephan Bauch from Nuremberg has been brought in as head chef, who, after several years on the high seas, is able to offer international gourmet cuisine in addition to solid home cooking.

Own wines and olive oil in the Waldviertel
Beer is now being produced again in the traditional brewery cellar. Not only will barley juice be brewed there again in future, but wines from the family's own vineyards in Burgenland and the Wachau will also be served. The hotel will also offer olive oil from its own groves in Croatia. A seminar room will also be equipped as a hunting room with 300 different types of whiskey.

Former Hofbräuhaus refined once again
The majority of the 33 rooms have already been refurbished with 100-year-old wood from Tyrol and fine fabrics. The aim is for guests to be able to slow down and enjoy nature, as is possible in the Waldviertel in particular. The former Hofbräuhaus from the 16th century will not only be available for hotel guests, but also for hikers and other visitors. Conferences with culinary accompaniment will be possible in two seminar rooms.
