Some homeless people are no longer able to take care of their hygiene or visit facilities. This is where Med4Hope comes in.

The "Krone" report about high-speed train carriages being confiscated due to lice transmitted by a homeless person made big waves. And this is not an isolated case, as the Med4Hope association, which looks after people who are no longer able to visit social institutions or hospitals themselves, has shown.

Great suffering
"These people are suffering enormously. They lack the most basic hygiene measures and are emotionally paralyzed," says doctor Hans Wögerbauer, who works for the association on a voluntary basis. "When these people come to the outpatient clinic, they are deloused and washed, but put back into the same clothes." And so it goes on and on.

Breaking the cycle
This is exactly where Med4Hope comes in, visiting the homeless people, continuing to look after them and trying to build a relationship. "We try to break the cycle," continues Wögerbauer.

The association is financed purely by donations. All information here.
