The green work was sprayed behind a bare tree on a white house wall and - when viewed from the right angle - gives the viewer the impression that the tree is green. At the bottom left "edge" of the picture, a woman can also be seen holding a sprayer - in the style of the famous street artist.

Confirmation from Banksy on Instagram
The work is "dead certain" to be a Banksy work, as the BBC quoted radio presenter and Banksy expert James Peak. He had already drawn attention to the painting on the wall on Sunday. The fact that Banksy posted a photo of the tree in front of the white wall on Instagram on Monday without comment is a kind of confirmation that the painting is indeed by him.

Banksy's exact identity is unknown
Banksy presumably comes from the western English city of Bristol, but his exact identity is unknown. In his works, he repeatedly addresses social grievances. In November 2022, for example, he caused a stir with a whole series of pictures of war-damaged houses in Ukraine.

His works, which repeatedly cause uproar, now fetch millions at auction. Banksy himself is always critical of the traditional art world of museums and galleries.
