All against the head of the village
Pentathlon in the election in the village of 5000 souls
Two ex-Red candidates, including the ex-mayor, have founded their own lists. The people of Bruck therefore have a particularly wide choice in the upcoming mayoral elections.
In no other Pinzgau village are the choices greater than in Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße: five parties are putting forward candidates for the office of mayor. Barbara Huber (ÖVP), who won the mayor's seat in 2019, now wants to defend the office. And she has four opposing candidates, three men and one woman.
Natascha Kendler wants to bring the office of mayor back into the hands of the SPÖ. But because Kendler came first at the general meeting in November, the then local party leader Günther Schrott left the Reds - and is now a candidate for mayor himself for the new "Bruck Citizens' List".
Greens also send candidates into the race
And another ex-Red is also getting involved: Herbert Burgschwaiger. He was mayor himself until 2019, but lost the election to Barbara Huber. Now the non-party local deputy is running on the "For our Bruck" list. And the fifth candidate, Johann Gratz, is once again running for the Greens.
