After RTL cancellation
Slalom specialist Pertl hopes for a good finish
The giant slalom in Kranjska Gora has already been canceled due to the weather. In the slalom, a Carinthian would at least like to achieve a conciliatory end to the season in the Ski World Cup. . .
So far, the World Cup ski races in Kranjska Gora 2020 have only had to be canceled due to corona, never before due to the weather. "It should stay that way," says OC boss Gregor Benedik. The giant slalom has already fallen victim to the spring temperatures and the slalom has been brought forward from Sunday to Saturday.
For the ÖSV stars it should be a home race due to the proximity to Carinthia (it's only 22 km from Villach), ace Manuel Feller can even win the slalom crystal globe. Adrian Pertl from Carinthia also has big plans - but not much has worked out for him this season. 47 World Cup points, 16th place in Kitzbühel as a highlight.
"It's been really mixed, I can't finish two good runs," says the 27-year-old, who wants to attack again in Slovenia with the help of a fan bus: "A conciliatory finish in the last race would be really important."
