German woman drove away from customs officials in Vorarlberg
On Monday, a 32-year-old German woman carried out an ill-conceived action at the border crossing from Switzerland to Vorarlberg: she was checked and prevented from driving on - but the woman was unperturbed and simply drove away from the customs officers.
A curious incident occurred on Monday at the Mäder border crossing between Vorarlberg and Switzerland. A 32-year-old German woman residing in Switzerland was checked by customs officials. After she was unable to produce a document required for entry, she was refused entry to Austria. She was asked to turn back.
Witnesses wanted
However, the lady did not want to put up with this and instead of starting her return journey, she drove her car in the direction of Mäder. But when she reached Schnabelholz, the customs officers caught up with her and forced her to stop. One of the officers was slightly injured during this action. The police are looking for witnesses to the incident, in particular a man who was standing at the stop there.
