Bregenz school under police protection on Monday

A school in Bregenz was under police surveillance on Monday because an unknown person had announced a killing spree last week.

There was a lot of excitement at the end of last week when a sign announcing a rampage ("Amoklauf 04.03") was discovered in the toilet of the BG Blumenstraße in Bregenz. Although the scribble was taken seriously by the police and the school was under constant surveillance from Friday, fortunately the "announcement" was probably just a joke - albeit a bad one.

In any case, Monday passed without incident. The school management had already decided the previous week to allow lessons to continue as normal. Parents were also informed of the next steps. The director of the school would have seen canceling classes as the "wrong signal".

However, not everyone was completely unimpressed by the toilet message: to be on the safe side, some pupils did not even turn up to school on Monday - officially due to illness.
