Cause of death now determined after double murder

After the double murder of a woman and her 13-year-old daughter, the cause of death has now been determined. The autopsy was completed on Tuesday. The motive and whereabouts of the father are still unclear.

After the killing of a mother and her 13-year-old daughter in Vienna-Landstraße, the cause of death of the two women has now been determined: both were strangled, as a spokesperson for the provincial police department explained on Tuesday.

Disappeared without a trace
The search for the husband of the woman who was killed and father of the 13-year-old is still ongoing. He is still missing without a trace.

Investigators consider the man to be a suspect. The bodies of the two women were found in the family's apartment in Erdbergstraße on Friday. There was already no trace of the man when the two bodies were found. There is no definite information on the possible motives of the suspect and there are still no clues as to the man's whereabouts.
