Cheaper online alternative to math tutoring
The domestic Internet platform Studyly is already offering its learning aids with examples and exercises based on the official school textbooks throughout Austria. "Krone" readers can even get started for free until mid-March.
Many people are about to take their school-leaving exams and need intensive help for their final school work or their school-leaving examination in mathematics. The local provider Studyly provides support with its live coaching via the Internet. This is even free for Krone readers until mid-March (information: www.studyly.com/code). Topics relevant to A-levels are discussed and specific tasks are worked through together. Founder Leon Frischauf: "We want to ensure personalized preparation." The normal price is then €75 per month - "as much as two private lessons".
Frischauf devised an online platform as a schoolboy just for the fun of mathematics. A good 50,000 pupils across Austria now use Studyly, twice as many as in the previous year. The learning tasks correspond exactly to the real exam questions in the curriculum. There are also programs for younger students from the age of 10 or for the compulsory school-leaving certificate. In a second track ("studyly school"), 500 teachers across Austria are already using Studyly as learning support for their classes.
