Constriction detected: Doskozil operated on again

Burgenland's Governor Hans Peter Doskozil underwent another operation on his larynx at the weekend. His office announced on Monday that a constriction had been detected during a check-up.

Doskozil had recently returned to Leipzig University Hospital in Germany for a check-up. The governor's office said on Monday that a recent narrowing had been detected which had caused breathing difficulties. 

Surgery without complications
The operation to remove the narrowing took place last weekend. According to the attending physician, Prof. Andreas Dietz, the procedure was successful and without complications and the Governor is doing well again, Doskozil's office announced. In order to ensure a speedy recovery under inpatient conditions, the Governor will remain in hospital for some time and work via laptop and cell phone.

"Due to the chronic nature of his illness, the relevant processes are already well established and coordination with the government team and the office is also working excellently in this way," it is emphasized.

This is already the tenth operation. The last operation was carried out in April of this year.
