Vienna: Sixth illegal beauty clinic busted

Once again, the Immediate Action Group has uncovered an illegal beauty clinic - this time in a nail salon in Vienna-Alsergrund. Botox and fillers were offered there, substances that may only be administered by doctors or medically qualified specialists.

When the authorities arrived on Thursday, they caught the alleged doctor in the middle of a treatment. The substances were immediately confiscated, and charges were laid for medical malpractice, illegal employment and violations of the Medical Practitioners Act.

"Stop dangerous practices"
This is the sixth illegal clinic to be uncovered in Vienna. Walter Hillerer, Head of the Immediate Action Group, warns: "Every clinic discovered is another step towards stopping dangerous practices. Our work protects people from potential health risks."

Hillerer is calling on the public to report any information immediately so that his team can intervene quickly. The Immediate Action Group was supported in the operation by the police, financial police and the relevant departments of the City of Vienna.
