Her performance was the big highlight at the Bauernbundball in Graz's Stadthalle: Melissa Naschenweng wowed the 16,000 visitors. However, there was one big downer: the music star's pink dirndl was stolen. The Carinthian took it with humor.

With 16,000 spectators, the Styrian Farmers' Union Ball in the Graz Stadthalle is the biggest ball in Europe. As in the previous year, the big highlight last Friday was the performance by pop superstar Melissa Naschenweng. And the hall shook when the Carinthian came onto the main stage shortly after 11 pm - in a specially made, short, pink dirndl.

But Melissa got rid of the garment after the first number. Suddenly she was on stage in a white, belly-baring top and glittering, pink hot pants and fired up the crowds. But the dirndl is gone. "Hopefully Fladerer will have fun with the dirndl," said the 34-year-old with a sense of humor. The dress was too tight for her anyway. "That's why I had to tear it open prematurely after the first number," she told her fans via Instagram.
