The candy floss has to drop its sugar-sweet mask this time. Underneath is a singer who impresses everyone with her talent and her voice!
In the ProSieben music show "The Masked Singer", singer Annett Louisan has been unmasked under the cotton candy mask. The 47-year-old was surprised herself on Saturday evening "that her striking voice was not recognized earlier".
The most exciting thing she has ever experienced
For the German pop singer, it was, in her own words, the most exciting thing she has ever experienced on stage.
On Saturday evening, three pairs competed against each other in a themed duel of radio hits, movie hits and disco hits. The masks of the cotton candy and crocodile, who were later revealed, kicked things off with the radio hit duel. The pink cotton candy competed with the hit "Houdini" by singer Dua Lipa. The oversized fairground candy sang some parts of the song in operatic style.
Guessing team at odds
The three-person guessing team was divided: Rick Kavanian was correct with his guess in the end. He was sure: It must be Annett Louisan. Palina Rojinski doubted her earlier guess (Enie van de Meiklokjes) - and Wotan Wilke Möhring didn't commit himself, but thought it had to be someone younger than Enie. The cotton candy's duel partner, the crocodile, wowed the audience with the song "Poison" by hard rocker Alice Cooper.
In the next round of the music show, the spring messenger Elgonia (a kind of elf), the flea, the flip-flops, the crocodile and the Robodog will compete. The Robodog in particular won Rojinski's enthusiasm because, according to the actress and presenter, he had "made a huge leap from last week".
Every episode a mystery
Since the current season, there has been a new guest star in every episode who shows off their singing skills as a mystery on "The Masked Singer". In the third episode on Saturday evening, the mystery surrounding the third mask was revealed: Swiss singer Stefanie Heinzmann was hiding under the costume, singing "Before You Go" by Lewis Capaldi.
In her own words, she was thrilled to be asked by ProSieben to "come on stage again". She joked that she was known for her one-off appearances. Heinzmann had already appeared with a Dalmatian mask in an earlier season and was kicked out of the opening show.
In the last two episodes, opera star Rolando Villazon and singer and presenter Giovanni Zarrella were unmasked.
