Does vegan orange panna cotta taste good?
Patissier Sarah Jahn has the answer in this issue. Coconut milk is the magic word and this vegan dessert is impossible to resist - simply delicious! And because Sarah loves coconut, there's also an Italian classic with grated coconut.
Coconut and orange panna cotta (vegan)
Ingredients: 400 ml canned coconut milk, 45 ml maple syrup, 1 tsp agar agar, 1 tsp vanilla extract or fresh vanilla
Ingredients Berry sauce: 2 oranges, 2 tbsp maple syrup, orange zest
Decoration: Fresh mint and coconut chips
Preparation: Place all the ingredients for the coconut panna cotta in a pan and bring to the boil, simmer for approx. 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly. Then pour into dessert glasses and chill. In the meantime, reduce the orange fillets with the maple syrup and orange zest and season to taste. When the coconut panna cotta has set, arrange the orange fillets on top. Decorate with a mint leaf and coconut chips.
Coconut tiramisu
Ingredients: 200g wholemeal sponge, 300g mascarpone, 80g cream, 100ml coffee, a little powdered sugar to taste, grated coconut and cocoa for sprinkling.
Preparation: Mix the mascarpone with the cream and season with powdered sugar. Dip the sponge fingers in coffee and layer alternately with the cream in a small baking dish. Finally, sprinkle with cocoa and grated coconut.
