After Hütter's triumph
Sleep-depriving emotions and a dead horse
After her triumph in the Downhill World Cup, Cornelia Hütter gave an insight into her emotional world surrounding the small sensation. Many emotions came together, which ultimately robbed her of sleep. In addition, one of her horses had died beforehand.
The downhill globe is something very special, explained Hütter in an interview with Servus TV. The fact that she was able to snatch the crystal globe from the great dominator Lara Gut-Behrami in the last race naturally aroused great emotions, said the Styrian.
In the end, these emotions even robbed her of sleep: "I woke up that night and couldn't go back to sleep," Hütter revealed. It was an upsetting time: "All the tension surrounding the season finale, then one of the horses died and then the big emotions at the downhill final - I had to process that first."
A time without appointments
Unlike Manuel Feller, she didn't put the crystal globe at risk during the celebrations, joked the 31-year-old. Now she wants to clear her head after the stressful time and enjoy time with her family.
That is why Hütter has not made any appointments in the near future. However, the summer will then be more strenuous again, as she needs to maintain her form. Hütter concludes that a special event will provide motivation: "I'm really looking forward to the home World Championships in Saalbach."
