Jenny McCarthy:

“Playboy” time was positive despite grindy dudes

From Kendra Wilkinson to Holly Madison and most recently even Crystal Hefner - one horror story from Playmates about their ordeals in the "Playboy" mansion followed the next recently. Jenny McCarthy is now throwing all that out the window.

 The 1994 Playmate of the Year revealed on the talk show with Andy Cohen that she personally only had positive experiences as a Bunny - "probably because Hugh Hefner was married at the time".

"Different times"
The 51-year-old revealed that the producers of the "Secrets of Playboy" scandal documentary wanted her and Pamela Anderson to take part. But McCarthy refused: "I told them that I just didn't have the same experiences - and neither did Pamela. It was a different time for us. We had (Hef's) kids around us throwing bacon off their high chairs - a perfect time."

Sex with disgusting celebrities
Not that things were always completely innocent in the Playboy Mansion in her presence. McCarthy remembers that the parties always got down to business: "There was a lot of sex with disgusting celebrities in the pool grotto. Unfortunately, back then there were 20 guys for every 1 girl. And the guys were 70 on average and the ugliest guys surrounded by the hottest women. It was a Viagra stronghold."

McCarthy became a Playmate at the age of 20. At the time, she was working in a small supermarket in the suburbs of Chicago and saw the Playboy cover with Anna Nicole Smith: "I spontaneously decided to go to Playboy headquarters in Chicago. I asked at the reception desk there, how do I become a Playmate?"

She found out that she had to send in photos of herself. As she was waiting for the elevator, a Playboy editor walked past her: "He looked at me and asked if I would like to put on a bikini and take part in a photo shoot that was going on."

"Playmate of the year"
The first shoot was a horror for McCarthy: "I hadn't shaved and didn't know how to pose. The pictures looked like police arrest photos." Afterwards, she took the bus home. When she got there, a message was waiting for her on the answering machine: "It was from 'Playboy'. They wanted me to be photographed as Miss October. A year later, I was Playmate of the Year."

When McCarthy's mother found out that her daughter had been photographed naked, "she disowned me". But after three days, Jenny was allowed to return home: "Mom quickly calmed down. Especially because I paid all our outstanding bills with the money from the shoot."
