Escape at hellish speed
Hooligan hid in the toilet after a chase
Driver (22) without a license sped away from the police in Wiener Neustadt. First he sped through the city at more than 100 km/h and even over sidewalks. Finally, the hooligan hid in a public toilet.
The driver ignored a police patrol's signs to stop and stepped on the gas pedal even harder. In the late afternoon, the 22-year-old sped through Wiener Neustadt, accelerating to over 100 km/h as he fled. The officers put their blue lights on his bumper.
At breakneck speed on the cycle path and sidewalk
Finally, the speeding driver turned into a dead end. But even that couldn't stop the fugitive. When the young man realized his mistake, he quickly steered his car across a meadow and even chased it across a cycle path and footpath at breakneck speed, putting pedestrians in danger.
Two pedestrians were only able to get to safety by jumping to the side. Fortunately, they were not injured.

Escape continued on foot
When the hooligan no longer saw any chance of escaping in the car, he parked the car in a parking lot and fled on foot. He is said to have simply thrown the key into a stream. The 22-year-old then tried to hide from the police in a toilet facility.
Tracked down in a toilet facility
But without success. At around 4 p.m., he was tracked down in his hiding place by a patrol and arrested. As it turned out, the man did not have a driver's license and had several outstanding administrative penalties for previous offenses. There will probably be a few more now due to charges filed with the public prosecutor's office and district authority . . .
