Former racing driver Albers
The Horner case? “More will come to light”
Former Formula 1 driver Christijan Albers has strongly criticized Red Bull team boss Christian Horner. He believes that much more will come to light in the case. The Dutchman, on the other hand, has words of praise for Helmut Marko.
Despite the investigations and accusations against him, Horner has a "frightening amount of power" within the team, Albers told De Telegraaf. However, the Dutchman expects that there will soon be further revelations in the case.
"The way all this is being taken up and simply wiped away makes the other side particularly angry. I think a lot more will come to the surface," explains the 44-year-old, referring to the fact that the employee, who has since been dismissed, is probably planning a statement.
As reported by the "MailOne", the woman is said to be deeply disappointed by Red Bull's behavior. A friend of the former Horner assistant explained that the woman felt abandoned by the company, although she had always shown restraint. She also questioned the transparency of the investigations.
Marko is the father of success
Meanwhile, Albers suggests that the British driver should leave. It was "downright frightening" how Horner clung to his position. "Then there is still this urge and envy to get this number one position and simply knock everyone's head off," says the former racing driver.
Horner's role is often overestimated: "Which drivers did he put in the car and which drivers did Dr. Marko put in the car? With all due respect, all the formulas for success come from Marko. So if you really look at who has an eye on the talent, there's absolutely no debate about that. That's simply Dr. Marko. He has always made the right decisions," concluded Albers.
