He is said to have not only DJed, but also conned numerous customers as a fraudster. Using bitcoins and lucrative investments in olive plantations, the 37-year-old is said to have swindled money out of the pockets of unsuspecting people - including well-known professional footballers among his victims.

For the time being, it's all over for a DJ from Linz. The 37-year-old from the Linz-Land district has been in custody since mid-January. The disco jockey from the central area is presumed innocent. But the charges against him are serious. His exuberant lifestyle - he repeatedly posted on social media about expensive cars or flights in a private jet - was allegedly financed by fraud.

45 different fraud facts
The "poster" is being investigated for serious commercial fraud. An interim report by the criminal investigation department mentions 45 different fraud facts. The amount of damage is said to be an impressive 670,000 euros. Even well-known footballers are said to have fallen for the scam of the man with a criminal record.

The accused is said to have lured money out of the victims to invest. He allegedly promised his "customers" high profits with Bitcoin transactions and lucrative investments in olive plantations in Eastern Europe. Ulrike Breiteneder, spokeswoman for the Linz public prosecutor's office, confirmed the investigation in response to a Krone inquiry: "The suspect was not only active in Upper Austria, there are also reports from Vienna, for example. Originally, only two injured parties had come forward, at that time the damage amounted to 16,000 euros. The investigation is still ongoing and the full extent of the crime is not yet clear."
