Bloody deed in Bad Vöslau
Multiple gunshot wounds: Autopsy reveals details
Even four days after the tragic bloodbath in Bad Vöslau (Lower Austria) that left three people dead, the mystery surrounding the background continues. As has now become known, the autopsy results provide initial information about the gunshot wounds.
All three men (77, 67 and 63) were found to have bullet wounds. One man was shot with a revolver, the second victim with a shotgun. The third victim had two gunshot wounds. In addition, traces of gunshot residue were found on the hands of two of the victims.
No clear clues
However, this does not yet provide any clear clues as to the course of the crime or the perpetrators. "It doesn't have to be two people who shot", explains Stefan Pfandler, head of the Lower Austrian State Criminal Police Office. It is also possible that when the shot was fired, it was transferred to a person nearby. What is certain, however, is that there is currently no evidence of a fight.
Possible fourth perpetrator
And the mystery surrounding the mysterious act of bloodshed continues: according to the police, the possibility of a fourth perpetrator cannot be completely ruled out. The investigation is in full swing. It is currently being established how many keys there are to the apartment and where they are located. When the fire department arrived on Saturday, the front door was locked. However, there is a possibility that a fourth perpetrator may have locked the door from the outside when leaving.
The task now is to put the many pieces of the puzzle together. It will take a few more days to clarify the exact cause of the fire, the background and other details.
Stefan Pfandler, Leiter des Landeskriminalamts
Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing. A reconstruction of the crime will also clarify further details. So far, interviews with people close to the victims have not revealed any evidence of disputes. Only the illness of the owner of the apartment has been confirmed.
