Young Bulls travel to the Falkenhorst

Liefering visit Kapfenberg in the penultimate round of the second division. After a disappointing 1-1 draw at bottom club Amstetten, the young bulls are looking to make amends against the Falken.

"We were the better team for 90 minutes and had an incredible number of opportunities," summarized Liefering interim coach Daniel Beichler after the 1-1 draw in Amstetten on Friday. Despite having more of the play, the young bulls did not bag the three points. 

Liefering set the pace right from the start. After Tim Trummer's energy attack and Zeteny Jano's free-kick went just wide, it was Luka Reischl who took a Jano pass and curled it around goalkeeper Verwüster to take the lead at the break (43').

Gaoussou Diakite and Luka Reischl had the best chances for the Beichler team after the break. However, after the furioso - especially shortly before the final quarter of an hour - remained fruitless, the Mostviertel side responded in a bearish manner: Following a free-kick that was taken wide, there was confusion in the penalty area and Lemmerer knew how to take advantage of this with a de facto side-footed shot (90.+2).

There was not much time for reflection. After all, the game continues in Styria on Whit Monday. At the Falken, the Lieferinger want to keep up with Admira in the battle for the best spring team.
