Kuchl connection brought art to Leipzig

After his return, Salzburg league player also shines as a painter, gifted legionnaire Seiwald. Leader Kuchl won without him. Bramberg will lose a quartet.

Some players missed the 22nd round because Grödig player Leitz was invited to Leipzig for a rumble. There, the 4:1 of Rasenballsport against Dortmund in the Bundesliga was "scouted". What also happened was less commonplace: Kuchl's Christopher Bachleitner, who had been out of action for a year and a half with long Covid symptoms and only made his comeback in mid-March, visited RB professional Nicolas Seiwald. The passionate artist provided him with a portrait painting, as did Leipzig teammate Xavi Simons.

The sports student, who works as a therapist on the side, has also already given gifts to his buddy Benni Pichler in Kiel or Liverpool's Bajcetic, and reveals: "A painting like this can take four to six weeks." Although the man from Salzburg has not yet earned a cent from his art, he makes his sports idols happy: "The first five seconds, the reaction to the picture, are the best part," says the 24-year-old.

A nice treat for anyone interested: There's a competition on his Instagram channel "_bachi.21" to win a signed jersey from Seiwald and Simons as well as posters, prints and autograph cards. Incidentally, everything also went smoothly for his club Kuchl in sporting terms: the leaders defeated Thalgau 4:1 on Sunday and remain nine points ahead of Seekirchen for the title. "Well deserved, also in terms of the score," said coach Hofer.

Bitter news for Bramberg, who drew 0-0 in Golling: Coach Panzl will be moving to Matrei in the summer, along with his key players Panzl junior, Hanser and Ronacher. "Co" Bernsteiner is a candidate at neighboring Mühlbach, where coach Reindl is leaving. "We're already in talks, even if it's not so easy here in the area," says chairman Innerhofer.
