Fire broke out in hotel staff room

Fire alarm Tuesday morning at a hotel in Eben am Achensee! A fire had suddenly broken out in a staff room. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Shortly after 6.30 a.m., the sirens blared in Maurach am Achensee. "A fire had broken out in a staff room at a hotel", according to the police. A neighbor had noticed smoke coming from the room on the second floor and immediately raised the alarm. The fire departments from Eben am Achensee and Pertisau were quickly able to extinguish the fire in the staff room, but the floor had to be evacuated. "No persons were injured", according to the executive.

After the extinguishing work and the extensive ventilation measures, the remaining guests were able to re-enter the hotel after around one and a half hours of operation, only the room in which the fire had taken place was considerably affected and remains uninhabitable, according to the fire department. The exact amount of property damage is still unknown. According to the fire investigation, the fire broke out in the area of an electronic hotplate on which a hot air fryer was located.
