The warm temperatures are already giving us a mini-heat. These places are perfect for relaxing and taking a deep breath.

The otherwise moody month of April got off to a hot summer start. The 25-degree mark was also easily broken in the German capital over the past few days. This is the meteorological and climatological threshold for a "summer day". These are the best places to enjoy the unusually warm temperatures:

• The weather is perfect for exploring the city's hiking trails. They run for over 240 kilometers, mostly in the Vienna Woods on the outskirts of the city or through the local recreation areas.

• The outdoor pools are closed for longer. That's why the natural bathing spots in particular are now being stormed. A few daredevils have already cooled off in the Old Danube. However, with a water temperature of just under 18 degrees, this is only for the hardy.

• There is pure spring fever at the cherry grove on the northern Danube island near Jedleseer Bridge. The warm weather is perfect for a visit to the blossoms.

It will cool down considerably tomorrow with daytime highs of only 15 degrees. A few raindrops could also fall. The good news is that it will warm up again towards the weekend.
