Four-legged friends in search of a place to live
The reasons why some animals cannot or are not allowed to stay with their owners vary. Often excessive demands and lack of time play a role. Sometimes, however, the owners themselves have to go into a home, and moving their beloved four-legged friend to an animal shelter is then often the last option. Here we present some of our protégés who are still waiting for a second chance.
Helmut
12-year-old Helmut was handed in as a found animal. The older gentleman is now looking for a comfortable home where he can go outside. Due to an autoimmune disease, the cat needs regular veterinary treatment.

Luna
Australian Shepherd mix Luna was born two years ago. She is always a little reserved around strangers at first, but once she has gained their trust, she turns out to be a loyal companion. Due to her initial shyness, we are looking for a home without small children. Long walks and excursions into the countryside are Luna's favorite things. She also likes other dogs.

Colorful rascals
14 colored rats were abandoned by their owner in the center of Linz and were lucky enough to be noticed by passers-by. Rescued by the animal rescue service, the rodents were brought to the Linz animal shelter, where most of them have since found a home. Five unneutered male animals aged around six months are currently still looking for a home.

Whiskey
Because the former owner had to move into a home, five-year-old Whiskey was given away together with four other velvet paws. The friendly cat has a heart condition and doesn't particularly like his fellow cats. Whiskey is therefore looking for a single home where he can be given his daily medication. He also needs regular heart checks.

Bagheera
The handsome Doberman Bagheera is friendly and incredibly affectionate. The three-year-old male is already longing for an owner who can give him plenty of attention and time. Bagheera gets on wonderfully with other dogs, but cats awaken his hunting instinct.

Quennie
Quennie was handed in to the shelter together with her siblings. The reason was unwanted reproduction. Quennie is now being placed in a species-appropriate home with a male, neutered partner.
