700,000 visitors enjoyed the Vienna Ice Dream

"Second most successful year in history". 53 percent of guests came from Vienna, 40,000 children also enjoyed the event.

The 29th Vienna Ice Dream came to an end on Sunday in glorious spring weather. A total of 700,000 guests enjoyed the popular sporting event on Rathausplatz. "This means that the season will go down as the second most successful in the history of the event to date, ex aequo with 2015," according to City of Vienna Marketing.

The results of 45 days of skating fun and fine dining show that 53 percent of visitors came from Vienna, 33 percent from other provinces and 14 percent from abroad. Once again, around 40,000 children took advantage of the City of Vienna's offer. As in previous years, school classes, kindergarten and after-school groups were able to visit the Eistraum free of charge.
