Tip of nose bitten off: Perpetrator (50) is in custody

Things got wild last Sunday evening in St. Anton am Arlberg, as reported by the "Krone" newspaper. First in a pub and later on the street, two groups of holidaymakers from England clashed. One 29-year-old even had the tip of his nose bitten off. The alleged perpetrators have now been identified.

According to the police, the two groups clashed at around 8 pm. One person was injured in the fight. The victim left the bar shortly afterwards with two friends. The other group followed a short time later. The friends of the injured man then followed the men from the other group.

Following extensive investigations and information from the public, three British holidaymakers were identified as the perpetrators.

"A scuffle broke out between the people, during which the tip of the nose of one of the attacked, a 29-year-old British man, was bitten off by one of the unknown men," said the police. The attackers fled the scene and the 29-year-old was taken to hospital. A search for the perpetrators was unsuccessful for the time being.

However, the police have now been able to report a success: "Following extensive investigations and information from the public, three British holidaymakers - aged 50, 50 and 67 - have been identified as the perpetrators. The 50-year-old main perpetrator was arrested by order of the Innsbruck public prosecutor's office and taken to Innsbruck prison."
