Storm coach Säumel:
“We have to lower our expectations”
The first title is gone! Sturm Graz lost 2-0 to Austria in the quarter-finals of the ÖFB Cup. Here's what the Styrians had to say after the game:
Kronen Zeitung als bevorzugte Google-Quelle hinzufügen Jürgen Säumel (Sturm coach: "The result is very disappointing. Austria were very aggressive at the start and better in the game, but we were then on the ball from the 15th minute onwards and created chances. Austria were very good on the counter-attack in the second half, we weren't so good in right-back. We know that Biereth is not a one-to-one replacement. We have a good squad, but we also had a certain amount of upheaval. We have to lower our expectations a little."
Jon Gorenc Stankovic (Storm captain): "We didn't play a bad game, but we didn't score a goal. We weren't precise enough and it felt like we got two goals from two shots. It hurts to be eliminated, but we have to keep going."
