This woman is not only a presenter, but also a seasoned journalist with a strong inclination towards classical music - including vocal training. Teresa Vogl has just hosted the New Year's Concert. In the "Krone", she talks about her busy schedule and the only free week she has in the year.

This woman has made her profession her vocation. So it's no wonder that ORF relies on Teresa Vogl to present the show that breaks viewer records: the New Year's Concert.

"The atmosphere was great, Maestro Riccardo Muti was in a very good mood the whole time," she tells the "Krone" about the successful rehearsals at the Vienna Musikverein. For her, of course, this presentation was anything but ordinary, no matter how relaxed the atmosphere was. "Of course not, the concert is something unique and I try to bring people closer to many things. I want them to learn something, but without wanting to lecture them," says Vogl. It goes without saying that she knows what she is talking about, as she has "vocal training. I want what I describe to be well-founded."

And here she leaves nothing to chance, because she writes the texts for her announcements herself. "And these texts in turn form the basis and template for all the broadcasts of the New Year's Concert around the world." And that includes almost 100 countries. Top!

One free week a year
The only question that remains is whether Teresa Vogl has a week off after all these days of pressure surrounding the New Year's Concert? "Yes, I actually have something to do all year round, except for the week after the New Year's concert, when I have some time off." Any wishes for 2025? "Apart from world peace, which you can really only wish for at the moment, it would be more time to cultivate relationships with friends." Well, as we all know, that's the time you have to take.
