Musk: Did not give Kadyrov a Cybertruck as a gift

Tesla boss Elon Musk has denied that he gave Chechen ruler Ramzan Kadyrov a Cybertruck as a gift. "Are you really so retarded that you think I gave a Cybertruck to a Russian general?" he replied on the X platform.

The answer was directed at the US author and journalist Seth Abramson. As reported, Kadyrov had previously bragged about a Tesla Cybertruck on his Telegram news channel. He had received the "Cyberbeast" from Musk, the ruler claimed. After a tour in the capital Grozny, the 47-year-old appeared in a video with bullets around his neck. He said that the Cybertruck would soon be used in the war against Ukraine.

The rich continue to get their hands on luxury goods
Like hundreds of members of the Russian power apparatus, Kadyrov is subject to sanctions by the West. The video is therefore also a reminder to the West that the rich and powerful in Russia continue to obtain luxury goods that should not even enter the country. The imports are organized via middlemen abroad. The Chechen ruler has connections in the United Arab Emirates, for example.

Kadyrov is internationally known for serious human rights violations, the murder of political opponents, the torture of prisoners and kidnappings. He fills public offices with relatives and repeatedly and demonstratively violates laws.
