Lukashenko pardons alleged terrorist

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has pardoned a German sentenced to death. Rico K. is said to have admitted, among other things, to having worked for the Ukrainian secret service.

Belarusian media reported, for example, that he had photographed military facilities. He had also left a rucksack containing explosives on the tracks at a train station south-east of the capital Minsk. This exploded before a train arrived, according to reports. As a result, no one was injured.
