Swerved to avoid a hare: Touched a parked car

Shortly after midnight on Thursday, the police, fire department and ambulance service had to attend an accident in Krumpendorf, Carinthia. The driver stated that he had swerved to avoid a hare and hit a parked car as a result.

On Kärntner Straße in Krumpendorf, the 23-year-old driver from Klagenfurt had reversed the car because he wanted to avoid a hare crossing the road. During the maneuver, the car crashed into a car parked next to the road.

The passenger (25) was injured in the accident and taken to Klagenfurt Hospital by ambulance. While the Krumpendorf fire department arrived with 14 men to secure and clean up the scene of the accident, the police discovered that the driver was not in possession of a driver's license.
