Halmich wants to give Stefan Raab a good beating

It is now clear: RTL has secured the broadcasting rights to the eagerly awaited boxing match between Stefan Raab and Regina Halmich. The show fight spectacle "The Clark Final Fight" will take place on September 14 in Düsseldorf's PSD Bank Dome. 

In 2001, Regina Halmich broke entertainer Stefan Raab's nose; in the rematch in 2007, the 46-time world boxing champion won by a few points.

But now it's time for the ultimate rematch of the rematch! 17 years after his last defeat and almost a decade after his last TV appearance, Stefan Raab will step into the ring for the very last time - and millions of viewers on RTL will be there live.

Inga Leschek, Program Director RTL and RTL+ explained: "The dream of many millions of TV viewers and my own personal dream is finally coming true: Stefan Raab is stepping back into the spotlight and we will provide him with the perfect stage. Boxing on RTL fits like Regina's fist to Stefan's eye. We are delighted that RTL will be accompanying the Night of Nights live - and are looking forward to a spectacular moment in television history."

Regina Halmich: "When Stefan has an idea, he's on fire for it. Then he is persistent. If he tackles something, it's going to be a hit. He knows how good entertainment works."

"I'll give him a good smack"
She thinks it's fantastic that RTL will be showing the "event of the decade".

She promises: "I'll show that I can still manage to give him a good smack. And it will hurt again. I promise! Anyone who underestimates me has already lost. Raab will deliver a mega show by every trick in the book. And I'm going to give him a hell of a beating."
