Austria strengthened in 2nd test against Germany
With seven reinforcements from the league finalists Salzburg and KAC, Austria's national ice hockey team goes into the return match against Germany!
Team boss Roger Bader has defenders Clemens Unterweger, David Maier and Steven Strong as well as forwards Lukas Haudum, Manuel Ganahl, Paul Huber and Lucas Thaler at his disposal for the second clash with the runners-up in the world championship on Saturday (4.15 pm) in Zell am See.
"Now we want to find a way to win!"
Two days after the strong performance in the 4-2 defeat in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bader is hoping for the first win of the preparation period. "We put in a good performance against Germany on Thursday, now we want to find a way to win on Saturday," explained the Swiss.
Bader will only have his full World Championship team available for the dress rehearsal against world champions Canada on May 5 (7 p.m.) in Vienna. Six players from Salzburg and Klagenfurt, NHL forward Marco Rossi and the talented forward Vinzenz Rohrer, who played in the Swiss final series, are still missing. Defenseman David Reinbacher is currently missing due to injury.
