Costs are high
Mold infestation! The ASV facility is to be renovated
ASV celebrated its 100th anniversary last year and now everyone is hoping for a general renovation. "Politicians are called upon to give us and the youth of Klagenfurt an adequate soccer pitch with functioning equipment and sanitary facilities," says chairman Matthias Lampl. The total costs amount to 3.6 million euros.
ASV plays in the Lower League East and had long wanted to move to a new North Football Center. This facility will not be built now. That's why everyone is hoping for a renovation. Team Kärnten also put the renovation of the facility on a priority list of projects to be implemented over the next few years. Among other things, the showers are infested with mold, the spectator stands have been closed for use for some time and the pitches are also in a questionable condition.
"To emphasize the urgency, I would like to point out once again that the renovation of the sports facility, which is home to 250 children and young people and two teams, has been in a catastrophic condition for years, which makes it only possible to use it under extreme restrictions and potential health risks," says Dieter Schmied (Team Kärnten). "Now is the time to get down to business. For this reason, the renovation of the ASV sports facility is extremely necessary so that children and young people, athletes and spectators can play and enter it safely again."
