19-year-old driver overlooked e-scooter rider
A 23-year-old woman was flown to hospital early on Tuesday afternoon with serious injuries. The woman was riding an e-scooter in Lenzing (Upper Austria) when she was overlooked and hit by a young driver (19) at an intersection.
A 19-year-old driver from Regau was driving his car on Reibersdorferstraße in the municipality of Lenzing at around 2 p.m. on Tuesday. The driver wanted to turn right before an intersection. The driver probably overlooked a 23-year-old female e-scooter driver coming from the right. The two vehicles collided. The 23-year-old local woman had such an unfortunate fall that she suffered serious injuries as a result of the accident.
After receiving emergency first aid at the scene of the accident, the injured woman was flown to an accident hospital in a rescue helicopter. The driver of the car remained uninjured.
