A fuss in Innsbruck: voting cards have disappeared
Excitement in the Tyrolean capital. "Several people have informed us that they are waiting in vain for their polling card." These were the words Andrea Haselwanter-Schneider, top candidate for the Fritz list in the Innsbruck elections, used to report to the "Krone" newspaper on Tuesday. Apparently rightly so, as it turned out.
A call to the city's media office revealed that polling cards had indeed disappeared without a trace. "So far, we know of 20 people who have not received their polling cards. We don't know the reason," they say. In view of the 13,000 polling cards that have been sent out so far, this is "a manageable number".
In future, polling cards should only be sent by registered mail so that this does not happen again.

Those affected are out of luck
For those affected, this means that they will not be able to vote for one of the thirteen lists. This is because "a polling card cannot be applied for twice". Haselwanter-Schneider calls for polling cards to only be sent by registered mail in future.
