The final battle in the war of the roses between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is probably far from over. New shock revelations have now come to light. As the actress claims in court documents, the Hollywood star is said to have abused her "long before" the attack on the jet.

On Thursday, Angelina Jolie's legal team made the shocking allegations public. The reason: they want to prove that Pitt is still refusing to allow his ex to sell her part of the French wine estate Chateau Miraval until she signs a non-disclosure agreement.

Pitt is said to have abused Jolie for some time
"While Pitt's history of physical abuse against Jolie had begun long before the family's flight from France to Los Angeles in 2016, that flight was the first time he directed his physical abuse against the children as well," the new filing says, according to Page Six - and continues: "Jolie left him immediately at the time."

According to the documents, the non-disclosure agreement Pitt allegedly presented to Jolie was intended to cover up his "personal misconduct, whether related to Miraval or not" to prevent her from speaking out about his alleged abuse.

Pitt wanted to silence Jolie
Jolie's lawyers also claim that Pitt wanted to force his ex to keep quiet "by contract". The demand reportedly came after the Hollywood star discovered in 2021 that his ex had submitted a sealed file containing "emails, summaries of expected family testimony and other evidence" to the court to help her settle the custody dispute.

At the time, Pitt agreed to the purchase of Jolie's shares in the French winery, but then allegedly backed out because he feared that these sealed documents from his ex "could become public at some point", the current document continues.

Pitt insists on non-disclosure agreement
Pitt refused to buy Jolie's shares "unless she is silenced by his non-disclosure agreement", Jolie's lawyer Paul Murphy also explained in a statement to "Page Six".

"By refusing to buy her interest, but then suing her, Mr. Pitt directly questioned why this non-disclosure agreement was so important to him and what he hoped to bury: namely, his abuse of Mrs. Jolie and her family," Jolie's lawyer referred to the lawsuit Pitt filed against Jolie in 2022 for selling her shares in the winery to another party.

Jolie wants "Pitt to take responsibility"
Thursday's filing also states that Jolie "never filed suit" against Pitt because "she felt the best course of action was for Pitt to take responsibility and help the family recover from the post-traumatic stress he has caused".

Although Pitt could not be reached for comment, an insider close to the actor told the celebrity website that Jolie's new revelations were a malicious tactic by the actress.

According to the source, the 48-year-old is always trying to "distract from legal losses by offering irrelevant or inaccurate information". "There's a pattern that every time she loses, she keeps coming back to it ... it's nothing new," the insider added.

Hollywood's former dream couple
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie met on the set of the film "Mr. & Mrs. Smith". At the time, the Hollywood star was still married to Jennifer Aniston. After divorcing in 2005, Pitt and Jolie became Hollywood's number one dream couple. The couple have six children together - adopted children Maddox (22), Pax (20) and Zahara (19) as well as biological children Shiloh (17), Vivienne and Knox (both 15).
