Since their mega-hit "Marie", the Styrian band "Alle Achtung" has been going through the roof. The members reveal to "Krone" that they have more than just a new album planned for this year - we can't wait!

"I just want you to dance to this song. I just want you to be happy, Marie!" There is hardly anyone in the German-speaking world who doesn't know this song. Yet its beginnings were not necessarily under a good star. "It was released during the pandemic. The first lockdown came on March 16, 2020, three days later 'Marie' was released - actually the worst luck you can have," singer and founding member Christian Stani told the "Krone" on Wednesday during a stopover in Innsbruck before heading to the concert in Lech am Arlberg, "but we couldn't have landed a hit either, so complaining would be completely out of place here."

"Thought we could forget the song"
In this song, for example, it says: "Sweaty crowds gather around me". This passage alone triggered doubts in Stani: "I was convinced that nobody would want to hear these lines precisely because of corona and that we could forget the song. Fortunately, however, it turned out that people needed 'Marie'."

The song went through the roof, but the band only felt it in the digital world for the time being - because no concerts were allowed to be held. "Before 'Marie' we had 70 monthly listeners on Spotify, after that it was suddenly 350,000 - that was crazy. And we received the platinum record before our first big concert at Nova Rock in 2022," said drummer Patrick de Benedetto-Freisinger, "we still often get feedback that this song has changed the lives of many people. That's madness."

"If someone takes off, we'll get them back "
There was no danger of anyone taking off because of this success. "We would immediately bring them back down to earth because we're not like that," explained Markus Bieder, electric guitarist and band founder.

All the follow-up songs worked well!

Unplugged version of "Copenhagen" in April
Things continued successfully after "Marie". "All the follow-up songs worked well," emphasized keyboardist Robert Veigl and bassist Romina Denaro, while also making it clear: "Since we've been in this formation, we've been unstoppable." The current single is "Copenhagen", an unplugged version will be released in mid-April. And a new album will be released in October. "It's difficult to assign our songs to a specific genre. We must never sound like someone else, otherwise we've done something wrong," Stani clarified.

"The tricky thing is that it actually works "
And how does the band describe itself? "Our first album is called 'Love and Riot' - dualities like this run through us," Bieder explained. Stani added: "On the one hand, we are fragile family men - we have seven children in the band - and on the other, we are rock 'n' roll. The tricky thing is that it actually works."

"They serve worlds"
Andreas Mauerhofer recently became the band's manager - and for good reason: "They serve worlds and love playing live. They are a real band, and there really aren't that many of them left in Austria."

10th anniversary at the end of September 2024
The crew can be admired on September 27 and 28, 2024 in Thal in Styria: "We're celebrating our 10th anniversary - with Edmund, Josh, Pizzera and many more," says the band. Alle Achtung" also gives young talent a chance.

By the way: Their goal is for 50,000 fans to come to a concert just because of them - a wish that will soon come true?
