A 44-year-old woman from the St. Veit district had a "blue Monday" of a different kind and had a few too many drinks. Unfortunately, she then got behind the wheel ...

Drunk, the woman sped northwards on the Friesach main road through the Wolschartwald forest shortly before 6 pm. "On the exit onto Kappeler Straße, she collided with another car," the police report. "But the 44-year-old simply drove on in the direction of Kappel." Officers were then able to stop the woman in the open countryside near Kappel am Krappfeld.

"The alcohol test showed that she was heavily intoxicated. However, the woman refused to take the subsequent alcohol test," the police continued. The 44-year-old obviously didn't like the test and the accusations at all - she became increasingly aggressive and insulted the officers. "After several warnings, she was provisionally arrested," explained the police. "Her driver's license was also temporarily confiscated and she will be charged."
