Animals in search of a home
Every day, many dogs, cats and small animals end up in the rescue centers of animal shelters. They all deserve a second chance to find a home with loving owners and to go through thick and thin with them. Every week, we present pets who are looking for a new home.
The friendly, eleven-year-old Labrador mix Tara needs a short introductory phase with people to build up trust. She has lived in an apartment in the countryside, is house-trained, knows basic commands and is a good car passenger. According to her previous owner, she defends her food from other animals, so she should be kept as an only pet in her future home. Born in 2022, the American Staffordshire Terrier bitch Toffee is still insecure and shy at first, but becomes friendly towards people after a certain period of getting to know her. She hasn't known much in her previous life - she was kept in a cellar and eventually confiscated. Step by step, she is now starting to catch up. She still needs to practise putting on a harness and lead as she still lacks confidence. This long-suffering dog is looking for a childless home in the countryside where there is a calm atmosphere. Due to her past,Lyra is a very suspicious dog who takes a long time to get used to new people. However, once the ice has been broken, the five-year-old sniffer enjoys close contact with her humans, being stroked and going for walks together. We are looking for a home in a rural area with experienced dog owners who will not push Lyra and give her enough time to settle in. Osita is very stressed due to her owner's new living circumstances - she lacks opportunities to retreat and a relaxed atmosphere. Tyson - about three years old - was found in a box with three other rabbits. He was quite shy at first, but has since recovered well.
