200 kilogram metal box fell on woman

A terrible accident at work on Monday morning in the Tyrolean lowlands: a 200 kilogram metal box fell on a female employee at a company in Jenbach (Schwaz district). The woman was trapped and had to be rescued by colleagues. She suffered serious injuries.

According to the police, the woman was busy loading a 200-kilogram metal box onto a trolley at around 7.45 a.m. when the trolley started to roll and the box fell on her.

She screamed for help and was eventually freed by two other employees, who then set the rescue chain in motion.

Taken to hospital by ambulance
The worker suffered serious injuries to her lower body and legs. After first aid, the 51-year-old was taken to the Innsbruck hospital.
