Red Cross lifesavers shine in yellow

For over 30 years, the Red Cross emergency services in Carinthia wore their classic red uniforms. But the old uniforms of the paramedics and co. have had their day. They are being given new garb to ensure greater safety.

A new dress code has recently been introduced for the Red Cross rescue service throughout Austria. And the emergency organization in Carinthia was one of the first federal states to adopt the new uniforms. This means that the full-time staff and volunteers have to say goodbye to their old red uniforms.

High proportion of yellow for greater safety
"We are delighted to be able to provide our dedicated employees with high-quality and functional workwear with the new uniform," explains Martin Pirz, President of the Carinthian Red Cross. Not only should the new material help with the sometimes challenging missions, but the new uniform should also ensure greater safety. The new uniform has a high proportion of yellow. This is intended to increase the visibility of the emergency services. 

This means that the rescue workers are even better equipped for their challenging everyday work and hopefully even safer on the road

As of today, Monday, the rescue workers are being equipped with the new workwear. "The new outfits should definitely be a reliable, pleasant and comfortable companion for them," says Pirz.
