Normally, stars always dress up for their red carpet appearances. Chris Pine was a different story on Wednesday at the premiere of his film "Poolman", where his unusual shaggy look made people smile.

Many a Chris Pine fan probably had to look twice. The Hollywood star was almost unrecognizable with his greying full beard and shoulder-length hair. The 43-year-old heartthrob had grown both for his role in the movie "Poolman".

But that wasn't the only eye-catching thing about Pine's premiere look. The actor probably took his cue from Zendaya for his walk down the red carpet and stayed true to the style of his movie role.

Instead of a suit and tie, Pine slipped into gray denim shorts, which were also cut quite short, as well as tennis socks and hiking boots.

On top, the Hollywood beau combined a T-shirt with "I Love LA" lettering with a jacket in the season's trend color, "Peach Fuzz". A large flower on his lapel was just as eye-catching as the sunglasses tucked into his long hair.

For Pine, his new film "Poolman" is something very special. The 43-year-old not only plays the title role of Darren Barrenman in the indie flick, but also wrote the screenplay, produced the film and co-directed it with Ian Gotler.
