In the Lower Mühlviertel
Quarrel after a party ended in a stabbing
Even in the deep black Mühlviertel, the ÖVP's knife ban would not be a mistake: two young men got into a fight with two other lads in Unterweißenbach at 1 a.m. after a party. A knife was involved in the brawl and the two Mühlviertel residents were injured on the hands and heads.
A 26-year-old and a 25-year-old, both from the district of Freistadt, attended an event in Unterweißenbach on Saturday evening. At around 1 a.m., the two left the venue and walked along a connecting path towards the parking lot of a supermarket. There they encountered two young men, a fight broke out and then a scuffle, during which one of the strangers also used a knife.
Defensive wounds to the hands
The two men each suffered defensive injuries to one hand and wounds to the head. They were taken to Freistadt Hospital. The two men gave the following description: two men, between 14 and 18 years old, "Waldviertel dialect".
