Smoke development due to smoldering ash

A 65-year-old man from Feldkirchen noticed heavy smoke coming from the kitchen of his house on Friday evening.

A passing driver informed the 65-year-old about the flying sparks from the chimney of the house. The man then called the fire department. The fire brigade determined that it was a smoldering, settled ash that was coming out of the chimney.

The fire department then called a chimney sweep to inspect the chimney. It was not yet possible to determine whether the building had been damaged.

The 65-year-old was not injured in the incident. In addition to the police, the Feldkirchen and Glanhofen fire brigades were also deployed.
