Before the ski season in St. Anton am Arlberg officially comes to an end on April 20, it's time to hit the slopes one last time. At the now legendary end-of-season race "Der Weisse Rausch", several hundred daring ski enthusiasts plunge down the slopes, and with the "Krone" you can be one of the lucky participants in this race.

When the international field of participants from all over the world waits for the starting signal at the Valluggrat at 2,665 meters above sea level, adrenaline takes over. Seven and a half kilometers and 1,300 meters of altitude have to be overcome in the legendary race to St. Anton in the valley. In between, they have to climb the "Schmerzensberg" on foot or in skating style and after the subsequent, mostly bumpy, sections of piste, they have to conquer meter-high mountains of snow to the applause of the crowd before the starters cross the finish line and celebrate.

The "Weisse Rausch" is not just a sporting event, but also a big party at the end of the season.

Cult party at the Valluga
Last year, a total of 555 daring (amateur) athletes and daredevils from 16 nations dared to tackle the course. Peter Rudigier won the men's gold medal last year with a time of 8:30.21. In the women's race, Nadine Thaler raised her skis high in jubilation as she crossed the finish line first in 11:07.45. But last year's overjoyed "Krone" winners were also able to impress with their performance.
