Brawl in Dornbirn bar broken up by police
Things apparently got heated in a bar in Dornbirn (Vorarlberg) on Saturday night: a group of five men got into an argument with other bar patrons - and things escalated.
Shortly before midnight, two groups of men got into an argument. The argument turned violent and a total of nine people were involved in the brawl. Three of them - aged 40, 41 and 43 - were injured by the punches and kicks.
The police officers who were alerted managed to separate the brawlers. All those involved were expelled from the premises by the police. The three injured people had to be treated on site and then taken to hospital by ambulance. Two Austrian nationals aged 46 and 49 from the group of five were identified as the main perpetrators.
The exact facts of the case are still under investigation. Only one thing is clear so far: all those involved were quite drunk.
