Scenes like in the Wild West are said to have taken place in the middle of Steyr on Friday evening. A 43-year-old man is said to have been threatened with death by a stranger with a knife in his hand at around 9.15 pm, whereupon the victim took off in pursuit.
It happened out of nowhere: According to the police, a man with a knife in his hand approached a 43-year-old local resident in the Steyr area on Friday evening and allegedly threatened to kill him. The stranger then fled.
Suspect was intoxicated
The victim himself took up the chase and ran after the stranger to his home. When the police arrived, a 30-year-old man from Steyr opened the window and asked the officers if they were here for him.
